Mansion Apartment: South of England.

This was originally two flats which were combined by the client’s architect to create one large apartment. We were asked to work with the lighting and finishes that were already in place, although in the end we agreed to repaint one room in order to complement the artwork. The client had favoured traditional furnishings in the past, many of which held memories, but he was keen to modernise his surroundings. We found a compromise by reframing and hanging the pictures, commissioning a few pieces of contemporary furniture to work with those he already owned, and reupholstering traditional pieces to make them look more modern - giving them a new lease of life, much to our client’s surprise and delight.
